The Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant Group Inc. is a part of the Intercontinental Hotels Group hotel company. Founded in 1981 by William Kimpton and led by Chief Executive Officer Mike DeFrino, it was the largest chain of boutique hotels in the United States in 2011. Its headquarters are in San Francisco, California. All Kimpton properties are located in the United States, with the exception of their first international hotel located in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands; the Seafire Resort + Spa.
