Uber threat drives noisy Italy protests by taxi drivers
Italian taxi drivers have protested in Rome demanding regulation of new services such as Uber. It follows a week of protest which has hit commuters in the capital and other major cities. Traditional taxis operate under rigid regulation and have to pay big sums to drive their cabs, but say their new competitors don't face the same constraints.
