Facebook charged with home discrimination through targeted ads
Facebook has been charged for allegedly allowing housing advertisers to discriminate against users based on race, sex and disability. "We're surprised by HUD's decision, as we've been working with them to address their concerns and have taken significant steps to prevent ads discrimination," a Facebook spokesperson told the BBC in an email. These charges mark the latest in a series of scandals to hit Facebook. A group of French Muslims are suing Facebook and YouTube over the footage. Facebook said the documents were taken out of context.
